A hand-painted pine wardrobe with beribboned floral garlands, 20th century. The white-painted case features an arched, dentil-molded cornice above a pair of paneled doors opening to an unpainted interior with two adjustable shelves over eight drawers. The wardrobe rises on a molded base with pink trim and the case is decorated with garlands of pink roses entwined by blue ribbons. Adding to the wardrobe’s whimsicality is a small mouse painted within the base’s scrolled, front cutout.
