Item Details

A Louis XV style paint-decorated and parcel-gilt bedside commode, 20th century. The case features a shaped, molded top with a serpentine front edge overhanging a stack of three drawers. The conforming drawer fronts are fitted with brass-tone knobs and the commode rises on cabriole legs centered by a scrolled skirt. Further decorating the white-painted case are colorful, floral sprays and bouquets accented by blue, scrolled-foliate motifs and gilt edges.
