Vintage Chinese Soapstone Carvings with Planters, Jar and Bookends
Item Details
A selection of nine vintage Chinese soapstone figurines. The carvings include a pair of bookends with depictions of sailing boats, mountains and trees, two ornate planters, one with two vases, one oval bowl and lacy flowers, the other with an ovoid vase, animals and lotus pods, a smaller planter with lotus pods, two ovoid trays with dimensional leaf motifs, a censer with removable top and lion head side handles and a small round lidded jar. The bookends are marked ‘China’, while the other pieces are unmarked.
