A vintage hand-knotted Persian Kurdish Bijar rug. This rug features a crimson colored field ornamented with abstract and stylized organic motifs with two crenelated medallions to the center. The rug employs a rich color palette of vibrant tangerine, cobalt, black, sand, apricot, and sky blue throughout the center field and medallions. The rug is trimmed on all sides by an unresolved principle border containing repeating abstract motifs, which is flanked by minor borders containing identical patterning in coordinating colors. The rug is finished with a natural warp fringe to both sides and a single-wrapped selvage to both sides.
