A vintage hand-knotted Persian Karaja Heriz rug. This rug features a coral-red field ornamented with an array of stylized floral motifs in teal, sienna, cream, cobalt, and coffee brown. The rug has a large medallion at the center with coordinating floral motifs radiating from the center, bound by geometric striped trim. The rug’s principle border contains a repeating abstract pattern in coordinating colors, while the minor border contains an unresolved floral pattern. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvage to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
