An original oil on canvas painting by Charles H. Kellner (1890–1979). This painting, by listed Czechoslovakian-American painter Charles Harry Kellner, depicts an organ grinder entertaining a group of children and adults on a village street with mountains in the background. The painting is signed and dated by the artist to the lower right corner with hanging wire on verso.

Kellner attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts studying under Wellington Reynolds and Victor Higgins, and then at the Art Institute of Chicago. After serving in WWI, he continued his painting, producing both landscape and still-life images.

Condition

- frame joints are loose with peeling paint
- repair to canvas at middle right edge
- could use cleaning
