A vintage ca. 1937 London sterling cigarette case. This case features a rectangular shape with a textured exterior and gold tone detail. An interior inscription reads ‘Presented to H.C.B. Thomas Esq. July 1938 from friends at Handley Page LTD.’ Handley Page Ltd. was a pioneering manufacturer of aircraft in Great Britain, founded in 1909 and playing an important role in the First and Second World Wars. Mr. Page was a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the International Council of Aeronautical Sciences.
