Civil War Era Pocket-Sized Bible With Inscription
Item Details
A dated 1860 Christian Bible. This 19th- Century leather bound pocket-sized Bible is inscribed in its interior to ‘Mrs. O.P Clark by her sister Sara Armstrong’ and the date September 25, 1861. Adorned with a maroon colored leather casing and gilded edges pages, this Civil-War era Bible comes with antique bookmarks. With all pages intact and the word Bible in gold print on its spine, this small treasured book was published by The American Bible Societ New York.
