Vintage Jennings Brothers Bronze Patina Bookends
Item Details
A pair of vintage Jennings Brothers cast metal bookends. These Art Deco pieces feature a bronze patinated finish and depict the form of a seated man. Each piece is supported by an arched base and marked ‘JB’ with pattern numbers 3196 and 3197 to the reverse. The Jennings Brothers created handcrafted cast grey metal bookends with bronze finishes throughout the 1920s and 1930s, turning their focus to support of the war effort in the 1940s, and are considered some of the most durable and finely crafted bookends made during that time.
