Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, black, teal, sapphire, rose, peach, ivory, and burnt orange. The scarlet colored field begins with a pendant medallion, while featuring an overall floral theme with floral sprays, palmettes, and blossoms. The same theme flows to the ivory grounded spandrels, as well as the black grounded main border. Framing the field is also a pair of carnation meander guard borders, and diamond minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
