Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Viss wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of scarlet, carnation, cobalt, black, taupe, and slate. The lozenged scarlet hued field begins with a large hooked hexagonal medallion flanked by smaller medallions ending in pendants, each infilled with a floral theme. The lozenge has notched edges with a branched form to the black hued ground, along with flowering branches to each corner. Framing the field is a main carnation meander border.
