Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of sapphire, crimson, cobalt, ivory, rose, walnut, charcoal, and celedon. The sapphire hued field begins with a hooked diamond pendant medallion, along with smaller hooked medallions, and ivory grounded spandrels infilled with floral and foliate motifs. Framing the field is a main crimson grounded floral meander border, as well as meandering guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
