A hand-knotted Caucasian Lenkoran wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a variegated palette of cranberry, blue-violet, ivory, wheat, carnation, wine, and black. The cranberry hued field features three medallions infilled with hooked guls, while framed in large leaf forms, and tree of life motifs. The field also features bird motifs, and it is framed in a main two-petal calyx border, along with a pair of Hamadan guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
