19th Century Curtiss & Stiles Coin Silver Fiddle Handle Teaspoons

A collection of six antique coin silver teaspoons by Curtiss & Stiles, active from 1835 until 1840 in Woodbury, Connecticut. The spoons feature pointed ovoid-shaped bowls with exaggerated fiddle style handles engraved with the initials ‘MEC’. These pieces are hallmarked to their undersides and have a total approximate weight of 3.030 ozt.
