A vintage hand-knotted Pakistani Bokhara area rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of cochineal red, ebony, buff, ivory, while the field features an allover lattice of tekke and chemche gul medallions. Framing the field are compound geometric and dart guard and secondary borders in complementary colorways, while the primary border features an eight-pointed star motif over cochineal red. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, brief kilim skirts, and cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
