A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool long rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of raspberry, blue-violet, ivory, apple green, powder blue, turquoise, rose, mocha, and wheat. The raspberry colored field begins with three curled edge medallions, each infilled with an array of rectilinear floral designs, smaller medallions, and comb motifs. The field features a similar dense design with vine-work, sprays, serrated leaves, and medallions, as well as notches along the edges grounded in ivory. Framing the field is a main blue-violet grounded stylized herati border, along with floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
