Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Lamberan wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of cranberry, ivory, indigo, salmon, mocha, sky blue, and madder red. The cranberry hued field features seven medallions alternating in a rectilinear form, and a hooked hexagonal shape. The field also features branched elements, floral motifs, and other geometrically designed symbols. Framing the field is a main indigo grounded border designed with an array of branched devices, along with floral motifs, and boxes. There is also a pair of Hamadan guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
