Hand-Knotted Persian Heriz Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of crimson, slate blue, umber, indigo, teal, ivory, tangerine, salmon, and sepia. The crimson hued field begins with five hooked medallions each infilled with rosettes, while accompanied by stepped triangular forms along the edges. Framing the field is a main slate blue grounded leaf and blossom border, along with a pair of Hamadan guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
