Vintage Meriden Silver Plate Co. Silver Plate "Honeycomb" Coffee and Tea Service
Item Details
A vintage silver plate coffee and tea service by Meriden Silver Plate Co. of Meriden, CT (established 1869, in 1898 became subsidiary of International Silver Co.). This six-piece collection includes a coffee pot, teapot, covered sugar bowl, creamer, waste bowl, and dome covered butter dish. These pieces feature a hammered honeycomb design to the surface, as well as bands and floral accents to the handles and spouts. The undersides are stamped with the Meriden Silver Plate Co. maker’s mark used until circa 1938 along with the pattern number 1429. The lot also includes a silver tone metal teapot with a tapered shape and brass tone lid. It is marked, ‘Made in Taiwan’ on the underside.

- to fair; surface wear including scratches and tarnish throughout; some dents.
