Antique German Language Nebraska Marriage Certificate and Baptism Record

A pair of late nineteenth century German language documents from Nebraska. The collection includes a marriage certificate for Johannes Hölzer and Margaretha Giebelhaus (both originally from Norka, Russia) dated November 2, 1890, and from Sutton, Clay County, Nebraska. The collection also includes a baptism certificate for Sarah Hölzer (child of Johannes Hölzer and Margaretha Giebelhaus Hölzer), in Kearney, Nebraska, date of birth September 26, 1896, and date of baptism December 25, 1896. Both are presented matted, under glass, in a gold tone wooden frame. They are each ready to hang with wires to the verso.

- discoloration to paper of both items; tears to and abrasions to edges of both; tear to lower left of marriage certificate; discoloration to ink; minor wear to frames.
