Antique Armand Marseille Bisque Head Doll

Item Details

An antique Armand Marseille bisque head bride doll which features brown eyes, open mouth with teeth and blonde hair. She is dressed as a bride in what appears to be her original dress, with an antique silk dress with fine ruffled net trim and satin sash. Her under garments are cotton with fine lace trim and she is wearing brown knit socks and cardboard shoes. The doll’s composition body is jointed and has a few visible chips to the painted finish. The head is marked to the back with incised ‘1894’ and ‘AM20DIP’

Condition

- fair for age, some chips to the paint on the body. Veil is deteriorated, ruffle trim shows missing pieces in areas, dress light discolored areas to the back.
