A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool long rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of sapphire, crimson, cobalt, salmon, cranberry, sand, and clementine. The sapphire hued field is lozenged over a sand hued ground, and it begins with a lobed medallion, while featuring an array of branched floral motifs and blossoms throughout. Framing the field is a bold crimson grounded main rectilinear designed floral border, as well as floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to one end, while the other is bound. It is unlabeled.
