Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of scarlet, ivory, cobalt, teal, tangerine, sand, mahogany, black, and slate. The scarlet hued field features five hooked octagonal medallions, each infilled with rectilinear designs along with alternating ground colors of cobalt and ivory. It also features bird motifs, carnations, and other filler motifs. Framing the field is a main sand grounded carnation meander border, as well as leaf borders to each end. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
