A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, blue-violet, ivory, sky blue, olive, goldenrod, salmon, and walnut. The crimson colored field begins with a central pendant medallion that coordinates with the layered spandrels grounded in blue-violet, ivory, and sky blue. The field also features an allover shah abbasi design. Framing the field is a main stylized herati border, along with floral meander guard borders, and carnation meander minor borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
