Hand-Knotted Persian Heriz Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of slate blue, scarlet, ivory, sky blue, teal, camel, and charcoal. The scarlet hued field is over-populated by two slate blue colored lozenges each with a medallion, while designed with rectilinear floral and foliate motifs. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded carnation meander border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
