A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. The rug features hooked and stepped medallions in a palette of sage, cream, and raspberry on a scarlet ground populated with animals and florettes. It has a compound border with geometric decoration, hand overcast selvedges, and natural warp fringe to either end. No visible maker’s marks are present.
