Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a variegated and abrash palette of crimson, sapphire, gold, cranberry, teal, sky blue, ivory, sand, and black. The crimson hued field features five hooked hexagonal medallions each infilled with a rosette and branched forms, along with an array of rectilinear designed floral sprays to the remainder. Framing the field is a main two-petal calyx border grounded in a gold hue, as well as a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
