Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Qum rug. This low-pile wool rug features a vibrant vermilion colored field densely adorned with curvilinear floral patterning in navy, olive, butter yellow, mint green, sky blue, petal pink, ecru, and light apricot, which radiates from the rug’s central medallion. The rug has four corner spandrels containing similar floral patterning, beyond which is two pairs of minor borders flanking a principle border, each of which showing resolved floral patterns in coordinating colors. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvage to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
