A vintage hand-knotted Persian Lilihan Sarouk rug. This low-pile wool rug features a sandy-beige colored field densely ornamented with intricate abstract and organic patterning in salmon, carmine, coffee, cream, cobalt, teal, and ochre. The center field is bound on four sides by an unresolved principle border containing a repeating geometric pattern employing the rug’s color palette, as well as a minor border in coordinating colors. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvage to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
