A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a variegated palette of cranberry, sapphire, black, gold, and ivory. The lozenged cranberry colored field features a pole of three hooked medallions ending in arrow shaped palmettes, while enclosed by black-blue colored notches along the edges. Framing the field is a series of geometrically designed borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
