Hand-Knotted Persian Isfahan "Garden" Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Isfahan wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of sapphire, mint, salmon, ivory, powder blue, walnut, burnt orange, teal, and slate blue. The sapphire colored field begins with a pole of ornate pendant medallions each infilled with a floral theme, in array of shapes. The field also features a garden design depicting birds, and four legged animals interspersed within flowering and leafy vines. Framing the field is a main mint grounded leaf and floral designed main border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
