Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of sapphire, ivory, cranberry, wheat, teal, and wine. The lozenged sapphire colored field features five lobed medallions infilled with a branched floral form, along with quatrefoil floral elements, and animals motifs. The lozenge is grounded by ivory hued caps that features amulet-style motifs, floral motifs, and rectilinear forms. Framing the field is a main wheat grounded rosette designed border, as well as a sawtooth guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
