Hand-Knotted Persian Lamberan Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Lamberan wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of cranberry, ivory, sky blue, slate, salmon, ochre, silver, and walnut. The cranberry hued field features seven medallions in square shape, hooked hexagonal shapes, and a central hooked diamond shape. The field is also filled with rectilinear designed floral motifs, and arrow motifs. Framing the field is a main slate grounded rosette border, along with a Hamadan guard border, and a chained minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
