A vintage hand-knotted Persian Malayer Sarouk rug. This low-pile runner features a black field densely ornamented with mirrored organic motifs in carmine red, rich cobalt blue, petal pink, moss green, coffee brown, and ecru, which radiate from the center of the rug. The center field is bound on four sides by a principle border containing a resolved floral pattern in coordinating colors on ecru, which is flanked by two identical minor borders in burgundy, coffee, ecru, and cobalt. The rug is finished with a natural warp fringe to both end and a single-wrapped selvage to both sides.
