Hand-Knotted Persian Qashqai Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of cranberry, indigo, clementine, ivory, wine, slate, and wheat. The cranberry hued field begins with a hexagonal medallion infilled with an animal head design, along with an array of branched flowers, while flanked by horse-head capped striped columns. It also features tree of life motifs throughout, as well as other geometrically shaped symbols. The same designs flow to the indigo grounded spandrels, with added animal head designs to each corner. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool with goat hair warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
