Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, sepia, ivory, cerulean, rose, cobalt, burnt orange, and wheat. The scarlet hued field begins with a diamond pendant medallion with a floral theme, while enclosed by colorful blooms, boteh, and ivory hued spandrels. Framing the field is a sepia grounded main floral meander border, as well as a pair of chained diamond guard borders, and a minor sawtooth border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
