A hand-knotted Persian Bakhshayesh Heriz rug. This runner features a dense wool pile in sinopia-red with four identical medallions containing abstract motifs in sage green, cream, coffee brown, sky blue, black, mauve, and sinopia. The center field is bound on four sides by an unresolved border containing abstract patterning in coordinating colors. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvage to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
