Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Isfahan wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, sapphire, ivory, powder blue, wheat, burnt orange, olive, walnut, and apricot. The cranberry colored field begins with a large lobed pendant medallion, while featuring an allover arabesque floral and foliate design with added palmettes and deep layered spandrels in wheat and powder blue. The floral theme flows to the main sapphire grounded stylized herati border, as well as to the multiple floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
