Hand-Knotted Persian Heriz Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, sapphire, carnation, sand, wine, and ivory. The cranberry colored field features five rectilinear medallions each infilled with a curled hooked form, while accompanied by floral motifs, guls, and geometrically shaped symbols. Framing the field are three borders including a sawtooth, a Hamadan, and a chained design. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
