Item Details
A hand-knotted Sino-Persian wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of pine, rose, ivory, carnation, cranberry, sage, powder blue, cornsilk, slate blue, and taupe. The rose hued field begins with a large pine colored lozenge that begins with a hooked pendant medallion, and features an allover intricate stylized floral design. Framing the field is a cornsilk grounded main medallion and flowering vine border, as well as carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
