Hand-Knotted Sino-Persian Wool Room Sized Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Sino-Persian wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, ivory, aqua, slate blue, cranberry, camel, rose, mahogany, pine, and mocha. The indigo colored field features an allover design of scrolling flowering and leafy vine-work with added palmettes beginning with a central medallion. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded herati border, along with floral meander guard, and minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
