Antique Mitchell & Rammellsberg Marble Top Chest

Item Details

An 19th century Victorian walnut chest of drawers.
This Cincinnati piece features a white marble top with overhanging circular front corners and beveled edges atop a case with columnar stiles. The three full width stacked drawers feature elaborate graduated escutcheons, carved foliate pulls and dovetail joinery. The case is accented with a shaped apron with applied decorative elements. The back is stenciled with the manufacturers mark ‘Mitchell & Rammellsberg’ in a crescent shape. See also 18CIN357-172 for an additional piece by this manufacturer.
