Item Details
A hand-knotted Turkish Kilim carpet runner. This flat weave rug is rendered in a bold palette of tangerine, gold, olive, indigo, cranberry, sky blue, ebony, and ivory. The crenellated field is infilled with pairs of stepped diamond medallions, each pair separated by multiple solid and multi-colored bands. An oversized olive and butter yellow medahil pattern frames the field, and banded elems grace each short end. The piece is finished with overcast selvedges and cotton warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
