Item Details
A hand-knotted Northwest Persian area rug. This wool rug features a contemporary tribal-style geometric design in an abrashed palette of garnet, royal blue, mocha and caramel. It begins with two polygonal medallions over a red field. The field is framed by four borders, including Hamadan, diamond-lattice and diagonal-stripe patterns over red. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at each end with undyed wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
