Hand-Knotted Pakistani-Kazak Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Pakistani-Kazak Bokhara runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of coral, taupe, camel, tangerine, and cerulean. It features an infinity pattern beginning with five starburst medallions arranged vertically over a coral field. Each medallion encloses a gul with out-pointing arrows amid abstract motifs. Framing the field are two borders, including a major border featuring alternating boxed florets and geometric, Shirvan-style bracket motifs. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with long ivory cotton warp fringe.
