A vintage hand-knotted Persian Mahal Sarouk rug. This rug features a vibrant cherry-red field with a large abstract medallion to the center in cobalt, violet, fuchsia, tangerine, sand, and navy. The rug has four corner spandrels containing stylized organic motifs in burgundy, violet, rose, and tangerine on navy, beyond which are three borders, each containing distinct patterning in coordinating colors. The rug is finished with a natural warp fringe to both ends and a single-wrapped selvage to both sides.
