7'10 x 11'5 Hand-Knotted Persian Kashan Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Kashan rug. This rug features a vibrant fuchsia field ornamented densely with vining floral motifs in emerald, navy, cream, teal, umber, salmon, ochre, and cerulean. To the center is a diamond shaped medallion containing floral motifs, which coordinates with the rug’s four corner spandrels. The center field is trimmed on four sides by a resolved principle border containing repeating floral patterning in coordinating colors, which is flanked by a series of minor borders. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvage to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
