WWII M-1 Steel Helmet with Vietnam Era Liner

Item Details

A military issue WWII M-1 steel helmet with Vietnam Era liner. The helmet features a green textured finish steel pot with front seam dating it prior to November 1944. It has a brown composite liner, leather sweatband and khaki web chinstrap. The webbing liner is marked, ‘Liner, Soldier’s Helmet M-1, 19March69, 100-69-C-1774, 17’. The liner is marked, ‘US 3’ to the center. The leather and webbing sweatband is marked, ’Head Band Liner Helmet, DSA-109-70-C-1545, 8415-153-5671. This style of steel helmet was used by the U.S. military from 1941 to 1985.
