Gorham "Buttercup" Sterling Silver Flatware Set with Wooden Flatware Chest

A vintage set of sterling silver flatware in the Buttercup pattern by Gorham, first introduced in 1899. The set includes nine salad forks, eight dinner forks, one olive fork, sixteen teaspoons, eight iced tea spoons, four soup spoons, three tablespoons, one sugar spoon, one master butter knife, and eight hollow handled dinner knives with stainless steel blades. These pieces, excluding the hollow handled dinner knives, have a total approximate weight of 61.915 ozt. The utensils feature scalloped floral motif handles and are presented in a wooden flatware chest with blue felt-like interior lining by Wm. Rogers.
