Item Details
A power-loomed Persian Heriz-style wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a variegated and abrash palette of crimson, ivory, black, wheat, sky blue, rose, and gold. The lozenged crimson colored field begins with a large star shaped pendant medallion, along with rectilinear floral and foliate motifs. The lozenge is grounded by ivory colored spandrels with coordinating designs, while framed in an black hued main stylized herati border. Finishing this rug are serged edges and a cotton fringe to the ends. This rug is partially labeled to the underside ‘Brussels’.
